The goal is to equip youth and young adults with skills and resources needed for self-sufficent adult living. The available services and programs are designed to meet the needs of young adults.

Target Population:
Youth ages 16-35 who are currently pursuing an academic/artistic scholarship.

Program Description and Services:
DTDSS following-up support services assist youth in continuing educational and
vocational training. These services include:

*Outreach services
*College and vocational tuition assistance
*Financial assistance for education-related fees and supplies
*Clothing stipends
*Books stipends
*Food stipends
*Public transportation assistance
*Need-based scholarships

Additional resources provides an array of concrete services that include:

*Employment counseling, preparation and referral
*Specialized workshops related to college enrollment and financial aid
*Computer classes

*Information and referral services (housing, jobs, health services, mental health services, educational opportunities, legal issues, etc.)

Referral Process:
Former DTDSS youth are encouraged to contact the Youth coordinator to arrange appointments or discuss planning options.

The DTDSS provides scholarship assistance on an "as needed" basis through the contributions of public and private sectors
