Since 1991 The Dare2Dream Scholarship Society, Inc.has
provided academic and artistic scholarship opportunities to at-risk students around the country. Sponsors, corporations and individuals support the Dare 2 Dream Scholarship Society, Inc. because they believe that providing avenues to higher learning is an investment in the future for both the students and our communities abroad and that investment is more critical now than ever before. In light of the report revealed at the 2005 “State of the Black Family” held at USC, we were grieved Executive Director to learn that African American students are still on the descent when it comes to scoring comparatively in subjects like English, and Math. We were equally devastated to also learn of the high drop out rates continuing to increase amongst minority youth not graduating high school.

Due to these staggering and sobering statistics, we make this appeal to our supporters and friends. We must do more, we must try harder and work harder to impact our young people’s future. We must Dare them to Dream again. In so doing, we can make the difference and turn these statistics around. One wise man said, if one person, just help one person to the next level of their individual greatness, our world would be so much better. We believe that here at Dare 2 Dream. We believe we can change our world, one child at a time.
